About
Me
Hello! I'm Liu Shuang from Changchun, Jilin Province. Now I am studying bridging
courses at NIE (the National Institute of Education) in Singapore.
I have a lot of interests. I like reading Chinese novels and listening to music,
especially Chinese pop music. I enjoy travelling. My biggest dream is to travel around the world. How about my achievement? I
won the first prize in the National Mathematics Competition in 2002. There were only 25 people could win the first prize in
my province. I was one of them. And I think it is also an achievement to me that I have the chance
to go to Singapore for further education. I hope that I could communicate with other people well in English and get good marks
in the examination.
Now I'll list some of my favourites.
- Favourite place in Singapore: Sentosa
- Favourtie food in Singapore: Chicken Rice
- Favourite singers: 5566
- Favourite computer: IBM R52

What I've learned at NIE
I have five courses at NIE. They are OCS, ALS, AWS, ARC and DLS. I have learned
a lot of knowledge at NIE and improved my English skills a lot. I learned how to present myself, how to get the main idea
during listening to a long lecture, how to write an academic article, how to understand an article and how to search information in
the Internet.
